National Kabaddi Schools Championship


The National Secondary Schools Kabaddi Championship (NSSKC) brings over 40 schools around the country to compete against each other for the national champion. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 23rd to 28th, 2025, at Kabalega Secondary School in Masindi District. This is the first time, the National be moved out of Kampala, and this year’s tournament promises a thrilling showcase of young talent, team spirit, and raw kabaddi action.
The 2025 edition continues this legacy, with 24 schools participating, each fielding both boys’ and girls’ teams, amounting to over 40 teams vying for top honors. The event not only fosters athletic competition but also emphasizes the importance of discipline, teamwork, and national sports development at the grassroots level.

Hosting the championship for the first time, Kabalega Secondary School will feature their boys’ team and welcome teams from across the country, including:

  • Valley View Busulwa (2 teams)
  • Bombo Army Secondary School (2 teams)
  • Kyadondo Secondary School (2 teams)
  • Masindi Secondary School (2 teams)
  • Kololo High School (2 teams)
  • St. Barnabas College Migadde (2 teams)
  • St. Catherine Girls Secondary School Lira (1 girls’ team)
  • Mulusa Academy Wobulenzi (2 teams)
  • Masindi Kitara Christian High School (2 teams)
